Lent  / Easter Schedule 2015

 

*Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics ages 14 and older on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays 
of Lent. Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59. 


Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain 
strength according to one’s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.

The Paschal Fast and abstinence are observed on Good Friday and encouraged for Holy Saturday."

  Rose Rosary Mary

Saturday Morning Rosary

Every Saturday Morning at 7:45am

Location: St. Alphonsus Church

 

The word Rosary means “Crown of Roses”.

Each time you say a complete Rosary, you are giving the Blessed Virgin Mary a beautiful crown of roses. The Holy Rosary is a very powerful form of prayer.

 

Everyone is welcome to join as we pray the Rosary for world peace and special intentions.

Adult Bible Study Class

Mary:  Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother

 

This class is an 8-session study in which you will experience and extraordinary pilgrimage through Mary’s life and see why she is an essential part of our Faith. Guided by Dr. Edward Sri, you will journey through biblical narrative with Mary, and visit the places where salvation history occurred. You will be introduced to the Blessed Mother on a personal level, showing how the Scripture history, and Jewish culture reveal the sorrows, anxieties and joys Mary would have experienced.

 

Time: Thursdays mornings at 9:15 a.m.

  Labrynth

Walk the Labrynth with the Lord

Sunday, March 22, 2015

8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

 

You are invited to walk the Labrynth with the Lord. 

A walk that allows for a quiet time for you to talk and listen to what God is saying to you.

 

As you walk a path to the center, you may feel a sense of peace and calm come over you. The labrynth takes 20 to 30 minutes and 10-12 people can walk at a time.
