Here at Saint Alphonsus, we offer a spiral curriculum in our Religious Education program for students Grades K-8.

Of course it is advisable that you keep with your religious education every year that you advance a grade level.

Sacramental Years:

First Communion
Grades 1 & 2

Confirmation: 
Grades 7 & 8 

Candidates must be enrolled and participate in formal Religious Education classes in first grade to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion during their second grade year.

Similarly, to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade, candidates must begin formal classes in seventh grade and be an active registered parishioner.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASS TIMES:

Discounts are given to families who volunteer in our program.

               All volunteers who have contact with children are required to complete a training session (Virtus training) and complete a background check.

Candidates must receive 2 consecutive years of Religious Education to receive First Communion.  Please contact the Religious Education Coordinator with any questions.
